Leaving Grenada

We leave Prickly Bay at 4:00, expecting to hit Chaguaramas, Trinidad at 6:00 or so in the morning. Wind is 15 knots from the east, seas 5-7 feet. We've cleared out from Customs and are just putting in time. We expect to have 4-5 boats accompanying us, but few have made their intentions known. Lots of people are nervous after a piracy event on this leg last December. It appears 7 armed men in a big pirogue stopped a couple in a boat a whopping 30 miles out from Trinidad and the Venezuelan coast. The couple were not physically hurt, but arrived many hours later in Grenada, without much in the way of money or electronics. Nothing has happened since in this particular area, and we are not worried. We'll comment again once we are on the hard in Peake's boat yard, Friday morning, or earlier, if the wifi connections are willing.
